Md. Firuz Miah – Director

Mr. Md, Firuz Miah completed his Master of Commerce from Jagannath University in year 2000 major in management. He also completed his post graduate diploma in computer science in same year and enrolled himself in the professional course of cost and management accountancy in the Institute of cost and management accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Dhaka branch. ICMAB completed in year 2004 and became ACMA and FCMA in year 2005 and 2010 respectively.
Mr. Firuz started his professional career with independent consultancy in different local trade and manufacturing organizations. He worked in Tradeco – a garments buying house and manufacturing organization, Transcom limited distributors and Gemini sea food limited – a leading export oriented sea food processing company to successfully completed their past years accounting books preparation and management consultation for future business processes.
Later in year 2002 Mr. Firuz started his full-time employment as accounting supervisor until year 2004 with Tradeco where he was a consultant earlier. In 2005, Mr. Firuz taken role in Bangas food limited – a local FMCG diversified organization in cost and accounting section and promoted to managerial position in the next year. He also worked and lead the commercial role of the group to take care of import and export business of their three leading export oriented organization like Bangas limited, Mithun Knitting and Dying and Tallu spinning mills limited – all of these organizations are also publicly listed in DSE and CSE.
For the future aspiration, Mr. Firuz joined world digital technology industry leader company ABB Bangladesh in year 2007. He joined there as Assistant Manager – Finance and accounts and secure the role up to Head of Finance and Account with extended role of Accounts, Finance, Commercial and transformation. He was also dotted line leader in IT and Admin. After successfully implemented the transformation of branch to local subsidy approval from ABB board, he decided to left ABB and joined Aggreko – a British company in world leading quick power rental solutions worldwide in year 2010 as Chief Accountant with the responsibility of establishing the organization local set up 440MW power plants in different sites in Bangladesh. in Aggreko, he also was the Country manager, member of procurement committee, and Aggreko Orange belts specialist.
As the aspiration go higher, Mr. Firuz joined General Electric Company (GE) as controller of finance and accounts for their power companies in Bangladesh. GE – a US based global leader in power, aero, healthcare and digital started its business in Bangladesh recently at that time. Mr. Firuz later taken the Finance Manager role including the healthcare and digital business which includes all the business vertical of Bangladesh (as Country CFO). He also set up the Bangladesh Subsidy of GE Bangladesh Industrial Pvt. Ltd. (GEBIPL) and joined as Director for their two subsidy 1. GEBIPL and 2. GE Healthcare Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd. In his time as director – he signed several mutual contracts with different private and government entities like, Summit Power, United Hospital, AFC healthcare, Chittagong Metropolitan Hospital, DGDP – a Bangladesh army purchase wing and several public tenders etc.
In 2018, GE curved out its distributed power business and Mr. Firuz decided to take the role of Commercial finance manager for South Asia sub-region. Later he taken care of similar responsibility of Asia pacific (APAC) region. As he started taking new regions responsibility, the management offered him META SA (Middle East, Turkey, Africa, South Asia) and China (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Mongolia) regions commercial finance lead. Currently he is leading the commercial finance of these three regions comprising of ~50 countries and spread from Australia to Africa. During his tenure, Mr. Firuz served financial offering ~€100M project and deal finance for regions countries.
During his working tenure in different national and multinational organizations Mr. Firuz travelled different countries in the globe for the purpose of business and training like, India, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Thailand, Bhutan, China, United States of America etc.
